More sunsets from the Great Highway

I may have mentioned this before but sunsets are one of the most beautiful scenery to photograph. I am quite lucky at times that when I am at a location, the sun is either about to set or has already set which provides a very beautiful array of colors in the sky.

Sunset District in San Francisco. From the name itself, it boasts a beautiful unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean. And what does that mean? Of course, beautiful sunset. I was lucky enough that when the weather was beautiful, me and my family were in the city to experience what the Sunset District has to offer. Armed with my trustful buddy, I was able to get some amazing photos of the beautiful sunset.

The following photos were part of my Day 22 photo in my 365 Photo Challenge.

A few hours before the Sunset.

About a few minutes before sunset. I remember I was panting while I took this photo because my lovey hunny left the diaper bag in one of the bench at the view area. To note, the diaper bag contains my wallet and important ID.

And there's the sun, touching the horizon.

And the sun has finally set.

What is up with the fence in the last photo? The story is this: Hubby decided to pull over along Highway 1 to give way for me to able to take a picture of the sunset. He saw of a place where he can park and I can just get out of my car and take snaps. Unfortunately, the fence may be big but he did not really notice it. He eyes were focused on the beautiful colors that the setting sun has contributed. With the resource that I have, I just positioned myself and thought that fence is an interesting add-ins.

@Bek: The ocean is about a two hour drive from us. That's still far but at least it's just a drive away! :)

I love sunsets, and these photos are beautiful, Noreen! The colors are awesome!!!

I live only 20 minutes from one of our beaches and about 90 minutes from one of the other nice beaches. I look forward to getting more great sunset shots.
