65/365 - Kiss from the rain
This has really been a busy weekend. From yesterday's running all errands, me and the hubby initially decided to just stay home, in our pajamas, and just relax and finish what we were supposed to do. But by mid-morning, my cousin whom I haven't seen in two years is visiting her parents in the East Bay and wanted to see our cuddle bug. She's the only in their family who has not seen her. We granted her request. We drove to Hayward and had a great time with my family. How lucky could I be to have my aunt (papa's sister) and cousins in Northern California. Meeting and hanging out with them totally eases my nostalgic moments.
About the photo above, this was from my in-law's front yard. We were there to drop off something and while waiting for the hubs to come back, I saw this lovely flower by itself. It totally caught my attention because its colors pop amidst the greens. And besides, I have already imagined that when I'll be with my relatives, I might not be able to see something interesting.
***I'll keep up with everyone's post tomorrow...I promise!! :)

64 and 65 are both wonderful shots. I really love the brightly colored red flower.
This is beautiful. You are right, the pop of color is just wonderful. I love the details of the water droplets. Did you use a macro?
@Aasiya: thank you!!! you'll probably see more of flower shots in teh future. they are in this season because of spring and in the meantime, i am running out of ideas...LOL
@ Melissa: No, i did not use macro as I still have to have one. It's still brewing in the wish list...LOL...I am using my 50 mm and did a little cropping.
Love the dark background with it. Makes the color look that much more intense!
I agree with Bek, the dark background makes the color stand out even more!
