87/365 - Hair pins
Eighty-seven days. I can see the end of the first hundred of this photo challenge. I am very confident that I can finish this up the first one hundred and then move on to the next hundred until I'll reach the 365th day.
Hairpins. It's one of those regular hair accessory for any woman. Maybe not all, but at least for me, it is! With the idea of taking my camera to work, I also brought with me some hair pins. When I left the house earlier, I did not have a concrete idea of what to do with them. So, during my break, I thought of putting these hairpins on a colored background. Hairpins are black and yellow is definitely the background that would fit my concept.
Actually, there's really no concept. I have no definite idea of what to do with my camera, the yellow paper and the hairpins. So, what did was throw the pins in random and took snaps. The results were not pleasing. I then arranged them in a way where the curvy features will be emphasized and shoot through overhead to avoid shadow. The light that I was using was the same light I had on my desk. The subject was about 2 feet under the light.
After a little bit tweaking with my settings, I got my final shot. The reason why I liked this? It is because the focus is right in the middle and the edges were not. I actually like how the edges were almost blurred.
