90/365 - Sunset View from the Ferry

90/365 - Sunset view from the Ferry

Today was a holiday for me. Hubby decided that we take Madison to the Six Flags Discovery Park. After all, we have a Season's Pass. Unfortunately, it was still closed. Since we were already in the area, we headed to the City by the Bay. But here's the catch. We are not taking the usual route. Instead, we head to Vallejo and bought tickets for the ferry.

At first, I was hesitant because it does not make sense to me. I pictured out myself and family that after a quick grab of our favorite seafood delicacy, we'd be out and about the city looking for spots to photograph and walk around. Hubby insisted that we take the ferry. It'll be an adventure for us. He assured me we'll have a good time and besides the ferry arrives and departs at Pier 41 which is just right about near Scoma's and the world famous Pier 39.

While on board heading to San Francisco, I realized that it was not bad after all. We skipped the traffic. The best part, it was quite. There's only a few passengers. And another best part, I get to see a different perspective of the cities that we usually see when we are driving.

Upon our way home, the sun is about the set and the color of the sky is magnificent. We headed straight to the top deck and positioned myself. I have pictured out a very beautiful scene of the Golden Gate Bridge with the setting sun. Sure enough, as we depart, I was blessed with the most beautiful sunset which was not only enjoyed by my eyes but also my hubby's and Madison's. I took about 5 shots and the photo above is one of the best that I have.

I am thankful for hubby for insisting that we took the ferry. We get to see a different view that we don't see all the time.

Also, it's the end of the 3rd month, which means, I have 9 more months to go. The good news, I am still alive and kicking with this 365 challenge.

Oh, by the way, I really appreciate the feedbacks that I have been getting with regards to my attempt with Portraiture. I have read them all but haven't responded. I need to read the comments again so it will stay in my mind. Again, thank you so much!!! I really, really, really appreciate it.

I'll get back to all of your blogs tomorrow. I am crossing my fingers on that! For now, I am off to bed. I am so tired from a very long, adventurous day!

What a cool day trip! I love going on boat rides - doesn't matter what kind. Probably because I'm from a land-locked country and you always want what you don't have, right?
Love the texture of the water!
