22/365 - Sunset from the Great Highway

22/365 - Sunset from the Great Highway

Me and family went to San Francisco to take advantage with the beautiful day and to meet other family members as well. Our day started with meeting up with the rest of the family. Then, we head to the Park/Beach Chalet for dinner. After our tummies were full, we walked around the park and the garden and head out to the beach to take some family photos. After all were done, we still have a hours in our hands. We decided to drive up to the Sutro baths to take a stroll.

Once we were there, we hiked down to the baths and walked along the pillars of the those historic baths. We just enjoyed every moment while we were there looking and listening to the waves. There were also a lot of photographers walking around with their cameras awaiting for the Sunset.

After the stroll then sunset came. This part of the San Francisco city is known to be the Sunset District. Well, the reason is obvious. By standing from the parking lot, you'll be offered with the most beautiful sunset.

Unfortunately, we could not wait. I was able to capture some shots of the sun set but then the scene where the sun was finally setting is what I missed. Luckily, we were still driving the Great Highway. There were some spots that were not covered with cars and hills.

Meanwhile, the photo above was taken when we were at a stop light. I saw this trio standing and just watched the sunset. Everything was perfect. The hand of the guy extending was when he was fixing his jacket but it came out as if he was saying something. Per one comment in the photo, it says that this photo speaks of a lot of things. There's a lot of stories that can be conveyed.

This is a stunning shot! I love the colours and of course you knot it that the silhouettes are what makes this shot! It's beautifully composed, shot and processed! Excellent work, Noreen!
