Well, I am sort of in the mood to showcase some photos that I have taken. They are the one that has been placed on hold and has not gotten much of my attention because of the 365 Challenge. Since this is the place for both my challenge and other photographic rambling, I think it's about time to showcase them.
Presenting....The Wine Glass!
This particular glass was the container of the last water droplet shots that I made. I thought of considering it for my photo challenge but I was hesitant because of the fact that it's just too difficult to photograph a clear wine glass.
While doing this shot, I had a lot in my head. Of course it's made of glass and of course, it's going to make reflections of the background. I thought I'd be very impossible for me to be able to get a clear and clean shot without have the background reflected. Well, if I have the patience I could have done it by manipulating the subject during the post processing. But you know? I am not just that kind of gal. I'll admit this again, my post processing is really minimal. Although I know how to clone and erase, I just don't like doing so. Aside from the fact that it's tedious, I am not sure how they'll come out if I will print them in the near future. I am wishfully thinking of considering a gallery show for myself. Yes, very much ambitious!
As for the photo above, it came out alright. If I have to do it again, there are other things that I need to adjust. See the upper right corner? The brim of the glass has faded away. That was not my intention but when adjusting the contrast, it just faded because of the reason that I was under exposed. If underexposed, it's easy for that part to go away when I'll use heavy contrast of the darks.
I've wished I took a whole "body shot" of the glass and not cut off the bottom part...Bummerrrr!!! Well, the good thing is I've learned my lesson while doing this shot. I still have a long way to go for my 365. This kind of shot will definitely make a come back!

I think sometimes we make too many rules for ourselves and ruin all the fun we have with a certain project. I also feel that sometimes I got so many great pictures on one single day. Why not post them all spread out on several days, especially if other days don't work out at all.
I totally agree with you Bek. In my case though, I tend to set the rules to see where my limits are. I am still learning in this craft and if I set the rules for myself, I gives me sort of an accomplishment knowing that I can follow them, thus improving my skill.
But yes, it totally gets out of hand. It totally takes out the fun and enjoyment but I do make sure that when I am playing around, it's during the days when I've got time in my hands or when I am bored (which is usually when the baby is asleep).
I opine sometimes we modify too more rules for ourselves and ruin all the fun we tally with a careful ascribe. I also appear that sometimes I got so many outstanding pictures on one unique day. Why not airman them all dispersion out on various life, especially if else days don't play out at all.
