One of my favorite candy is the Jelly Belly. After the tour that we had at their factory in Fairfield, CA, I could not resist any of those flavors. Well, except for Cinnamon.
At work, our boss provides his 4 analysts with goodies. When I say goodies, it includes candies, snacks, soda - just about anything to munch. And today, he conducted an "inventory" of our snackies. He was trying to pull out the older stuff to give way for the newer and healthier ones. Since I was the only one in the office, he asked if I wanted a whole bag of the Mike and Ike. It's been sitting there for a couple of weeks and I've never touched it. Sad, I know! And so, when I finally tasted it, it reminds me of my favorite jelly belly. Thus without hesitation I grabbed it and took it home.
For today's shot, I was supposed to show our backyard - our lonely and sad little backyard. I just did not like how it turned out. I scrambled for plan B. With the Plan B in mind - oh wait, it's actually an impromptu plan, I was satisfied with the result. I was happy I was able to achieve a great focus on all of the candies (I think). The colors came out as how I wanted it to be and as how it looked lik in reality. And I am a happy camper!

Wow! This is awesome! What kind of background did you use? Posterboard or something similar?
@Bek: I just used a couple of white/xerox paper and taped it together. Inorder for the paper to "stand" I put a board behind -any board would have done it but I had a white one (it's not even close to being a poster board). The paper and the board's color did not match so I just have to crop it out. Then, I adjusted the exposure and brightness a little bit. ;)
I had to stop by and tell you how awesome this is. It makes me think of my childhood. I really love Mike and Ike. They were chewy delicious!
I have never heard of Mike and Ike, but I love the pic of the jelly beans. Great pic!
@Aasiya: thank you!!! This shot was actually an after thought since I could not think of anything to shoot! :) It's my first time to try Mike and Ike.
@Cheryl: Mike and Ike are somewhat the same as the jelly belly!!! Thank you!! :)
