116/365 - Coloring Time

116/365 - Coloring time

Ayayay!!! So my cough and colds has still been going on due to my allergies. And so, it was about time that I get hold of my doctor and talk to her about this misery I am experiencing. With hubby's appointment happening in the mid morning and mine happening in the mid afternoon (with an expected delay), it doesn't make sense for me to go to work, so I took the day off.

While hubby was at his appointment, me and Madison started the day by coloring the coloring pages of the Dora book that we got her for Easter. I was surprised to see how she holds the crayons. It's as if she has been taught how to hold it properly. Hm, smart kiddo!!! In the meantime, while she was coloring, I took the opportunity to grab some pictures of her. I thought, it was nice to see another candid shot of her doing her thing.

I tried many times to let her pose in front of the camera but she declined. It was only until I let her touch some buttons and let her see the result on my lcd that she actually said "Smile" with the head-bend pose. Kids at this age, they tend to have a mind of their own and so it was tough for me to get the shot. Luckily, when she said smile, she hold the pose for about 3 seconds, just right in time when I hit the shutter.

The colored picture looked great. But I thought it's busy. And so, I tried playing the image in black and white. After I saw the result, I was pleased and stick with it.

She is so cute, love the B&W. What type of crayons are those? Are they better for younger children? Adalyn likes to eat real crayons and those look a little more age appropriate. hehe :)

Look at her long hair! I love how the light shines on it! We only have the regular crayons at home... I think they have a natural instinct on how to hold them.. at least good enough to color with them :)

Lovely shot and great choice of B&W. Portraits never fail to look good in B&W. I hope you feel better soon as well.. I know how allergies can be an annoyance!
