112/365 - And Another One?

112/365 - And another one?

Have you visited here? Are you tired of all these series of flowers in my stream? Well, this is probably last that you'll see flowers in my page, unless I ran out of creative ideas or other interesting things to capture.

While on my way to the State Personnel Board for my monthly training, I was scouting around the sidewalk to see an interesting flower. I was one block away from the Board's office when I looked down and I saw this bunch of flowers along EDD's office. I walked past it but then I second guess myself and asked, "what if I won't see anything like this after the training?". I went back, kneel down, grab my camera from my purse and started clicking. There were quite a few people walking around me and probably were wondering what the heck I was doing. It was about lunch time when I did it. I did not care what they would think.

Since this was not planned (AT ALL), I was just hoping to get a shallow DOF. I was hoping that at least I'll get one flower that will be in focus and the rest will be bokeh or at least blurred. This was hard for me considering that I did not lay flat on the ground. I could not see from the viewfinder where the focus was. I did use the Live view so that was a little bit of help for me. I wished that I could have done it better. But for now, I'll settle for this.

I love this shot!! And the flowers - don't know what they are called in English, but they are very common to see in everybody yards where I grew up. I haven't seen one in our area yet..

@Bek: thank you!!! I have no idea what they are called. I think we call it mums...They seem to be flowers from a weed or something because they just basically grow anywhere. :)
