113/365 - Last One
Aha!!! I know I have mentioned in my last post that it will be the last entry of the Flower Theme. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
Earlier today, I was hoping to get some shots of Madison. Well, I just could not take a snap of her. I am battling my crazy allergies and she's all over the place.
Allergies! Yes, it came back again!!! After I took an allergy pill, I thought I'll be invincible (at least for a few hours), so I went to take a walk with hubby and Madison. I took my camera with me with the hopes that I'll be able to shoot something interesting (aside from a flower). But then, a few houses away from ours, I was greeted by this beautiful purple flower. There were three of them blooming but two of them were about to die. Luckily, as I examined it thoroughly, the other one was blooming prettily. It was about past 3 pm. Normally, around that time, the sun would be beaming but today was different. Clouds are all over which means, it's a perfect time to do a flower shot. My vision was to shoot right above the flower. I know, a lot of pros do not recommend such positioning when capturing a flower. Why? Because it's how we usually look at flowers. They recommend to shoot flower at a different angle, giving a different perspective on how we see flowers. You know, just to give an interesting appeal. But I thought I would not be able to present the beautiful flower if I'll compose my shot as what is best recommended. In the end, I stick to my guts. Why? Because I want to show how beautiful the contrast of the yellow is against the purple which by the way composes the colors in this particular flower.
I took snaps and got what I wanted. With the clouds above, I was happy with my exposure. I usually have a hard time providing a soft feel to my photos. But today, I got how I wanted it to be.
PS. Last night, I was playing with how to create a brush for my watermark. Finally, I have a watermark that will be uniform with all the other photos if I decide to use it. I have used watermarks before but they vary from photos to photo. I had a blast experimenting with it last night.

Sorry about your allergies, I have them, too...but mine happen in the summer.
Love your watermark. It's very pretty.
What a beautiful flower series! We're yet to get all the flowers here, but they're showing up slowly but surely!
This flower shot is stunning! I'm glad you decided to do another because it would have been a shame not to capture this beauty.
The watermark is great. It fits perfectly, not being obnoxious.
This is beautiful and think it's very beautiful and interesting!
Thanks everyone!
