Two on Two - 141/365 and 142/365

First of all, I want to thank everyone who always take the time to stop by my humble blog and check out my posts and leave me some beautiful and encouragin comments. Please do note that I really appreciate it. If only I have enough time, I'd definitely return the favor. I hope it's going to be soon.

In the meantime, it's two on two. Today, I posted two entries with two photos in each post. Coincidence eh.

141/365 - One Fine Sunday Afternoon

I have something planned. Me and family headed to indulge ourselves in some yummy goodness Asian Cuisine in this restuarant that we just found. I was hoping to get some candid moments/shots by those people who patronize the restaurant. I was ready with my camera. It was the best moment to do such shots as well because there was a wedding reception that was going on on the other side of the resto.

I've tried but unfortunately it was not good enough. I did not have the courage to stick my camera out into other people's faces. I am too scared that they would notice me and get upset with me. But I am not losing hope. I'll still give myself a try on this particular candid moment kind of shot.

Since my plan A did not work so well, I resorted to Plan B. My original thought was to take a photo of the grass from the open field infront of our house. My idea was to create a hazy feel (as inspired from Tracy's Post. While I was trying to get the shot that I wanted, I failed miserably again. Instead of stopping, I continued to click. The sun was still high during this time so I decided to include and create some burst as inspired from Melissa. Thank you ladies for the inspiration.

142/365 - Fruit Loops

Today is no different. I think I ran out of ideas. So, I went ahead and took another shot similar to this. But this time around, I used our favorite cereal, Fruit Loops.

143/365 - Fruit Loops

Again, thank you for taking the time to stop by. As soon as I get the chance, I'll definitely be back to my regular progamming. In the meantime, please know that I often visit your respective blogs but I just don't have the time to leave a comment. :)

Hiya!

I think a restaurant is a difficult one. I tend to set the focus points to auto, put the camera on the table and shoot. Mrs S hates me for doing it but I've got some great shots that way. Also, have you thought of doing a project where you have to point your camera at strangers to help you build your confidence? I saw a really good recent discussion about this somewhere, I think maybe at the online photographer, and personally I think that if you're going to be obvious it's better to ask first. Anyhoo, the blog's lookin' great tho I'm not entirely sure about your choice of foodstuffs! Happy Tuesday!

Oh my dear friend, I hear ya on not getting to everyone's blog. It's almost summer time and we are all about to get insanely busy. I tend to be the lurker as well. lol

You did a fabulous job on your first photo. Now get your DD in a wagon or something that'll keep her contained (hehe) and put her in front of that beautiful grass and sun! Get low to the grown with that sun spilling over her head and you'll get that hazy shot you want. I'm seriously drooling. I wish I had that place right outside my front door!!! :)

@Shotslot: thank you!!! I am not the confident!! I have heard about 100 strangers. A friend of mine did that last year and his turn out was really positive. He did an amazing job!!! When I am done with my 365, I'd definitely try it. :)

@Melissa: thank you!! but I think you're referring to Tracy. I don't have a DD. I only have a Madison or a Mady. LOL

LOL! Noreen, I meant "darling daughter" when I said DD, sorry it's a little acronym used in one of the forums I'm on. hehe :) I definitely meant Miss Madison! There is also DS which means "darling son" and DH which means "dear husband." :) So yes, I want to see that cute little Madison in front of that grass!!!

Love, love the fruit loops!! I like the contrast of the childish food with the fancy crystal coop and how it overspills. Very creative!!

Nice shots, Noreen! It is really difficult to take photos of random people. I've done it a time or two--usually asking permission (it all depends on where I'm at and how far away I am from my subject and whether or not I think I will be too intrucive.) Good luck! You will get there.
