136/365 - Bike Spokes
I am so lame! I did not even noticed that yesterday, I just hit my 300th post. Yay to me for continuing on. And of course, there'll be more to come.
In the meantime, the photo above is in honor of the Tour of California which commenced today. Well, it's supposed to start yesterday but because of the weather, yesterday's leg of the race was cancelled.
Tour of California is an 8-day professional cycling stage race. It is considered to be the largest cycling race in the country. The riders are to ride in their bikes along the redwoods, the wine country and the Pacific Coast which is about 650-700 miles through California.
I have seen the actual race in 2008 because it literally pass by infront of our work building. But since the changed the route, the bikers passed through a different street. Though we were not able to watch the actual race and despite the blocked streets, we still took our daily lunch walk and took the opportunity to watch the happening at the Capitol.
Sure enough, the surrounding area around the Capitol was busy. It was packed with people. Bicycle vendors are all over the place. It was really neat to see a different type of atmosphere around the capitol.
