Hiatus - 125, 126, 127, 128/365

Wow, looking back, I think this is the longest time that I have not posted an entry on my 365. It has just gotten crazy on my end. But mind you, I still continued that shooting. I am just overwhelmed with what's going on with regards to my schedule. I have been juggling with my work (I am preparing for an exam and I am conducting an exam), researching for some tidbits for an upcoming Senior Shoot next weekend, scheduling some playdates and Children's portrait and on top of that, I joined the meetup group last weekend for a practice shoot. It was pretty crazy.

Now back to 365. Please bear with me while this post is somewhat long.

This is hubby's favorite type of meat to serve when we host dinner. It's Prime Rib. Since he first made it last year, everyone who tasted it got nothing to say but it was YUMMY!!! So, because of the great feedback and whenever we have special people coming over, we served them this. He usually get the meat 2-3 days before the dinner date, seasoned it, cover it in cheesecloth or saran wrap and put it in the fridge. Last Christmas, he actually made an attempt to age the prime rib. He seasoned and placed it in the fridge for one whole week. It was pretty scary because of the possibility of having the meat ruined but by following the instructions, he was able to pull it off and the meat came out like how it is served in a Fiver Start Restaurant.

It was a way for my hubby to get my bad mood out of the way. He drove me and Mady to our local ice cream shop to get ourselves some of the best ice cream sundae in town. The photo above is what the junior sundae looks like. If you order the regular one, be prepared to finish a size twice as big as the junior - loaded with scoops and scoops of your favorite ice cream flavor, whipped cream, nuts, hot fudge, and cherries.

The sundae definitely made our day.

Aside from basketball, I would say that boxing is one of the most favorite sport of a Filipino. It is even better if one of the fighter is our countryman. Last Saturday, our fighting Congressman showed up the ring against the Hall of Famer, Sugar Shane Mosley. Though it was a little high for a pay-per-view, hubby decided to order one for me so I can cheer along with the millions of people who watched the fight. Again, though the price was high, it did not go to waste because it was shared by friends. We invited some Filipino friends over to watch the fight with us. Also, we prepared some delish Filipino foods that we get to enjoy even before the fight started.

The boxing match was a success in favor of our country man. We were a little disappointed because they lived up to our expectations. I admit, the fight was boring. It was sort of a one-sided fight. But regardless, our Filipino pride brought home some victory and glory not just for himself but for our country.

128/365 - Crayola

These are the cute and fun crayola that we got for our daughter during Easter. After the dilemma that we had when she started coloring the base of our fireplace and the wall on our kitchen sink, we tried to be pro-active. Aside from the fact that these crayons are cute and fun and motivates a child to use it, it is also washable. Well, so far, Madison has not yet used this to write on the walls but I am hoping it sure does live up to its name being washable.

Love the color and the shallow dof. I know you love the "washable" part. I know I would!
