Weekend Overhaul 133, 134, 135/365

Another weekend, another long post. It seems like my trend right now is posting two-three photos in one post over the weekend. I could have made it last Friday but I was just so exhausted. Saturday would have been a great time. But, I was anticipating for my first Senior Shoot (which was eventually cancelled due to the weather). But since it was cancelled dueI headed to downtown (with hubby's approval) to join the photowalk from our local flickr group (which by the way, consisted of the most awesomest and talented photographers). And sunday, I mean today. It could have been done earlier but my talent in procrastinating is coming in again.

So, let's start with Friday.

133/365 - Abstract

133/365 - Abstract

Abstract in the sense that I just don't like to spend my whole time focusing on something that doesn't allow me to focus on. Do I make some sense? There's this thing that I wanted to shoot. I set my things up but when I started clicking, I was just not feeling it. So instead of wasting my time, I clicked onto something that was sitting right beside my computer.
Hm, can you gues what it is?

134/365 - Police Horsey

134/365 - Police Horsey
This shot was from the photowalk. Every 2nd Saturday of the month, about 2 blocks of streets are usually closed off to vehicles due to the Art Walk Festival. Some members of Flickr whom I have known and met decided to do a photowalk. Since my shoot was cancelled, I opted to join them. My hubby was kind enough to let me roam around with these people and their camera. It was my first time. Upon my arrival, we immediately walked from Galleries to galleries showcasing some local artist's work (photography, painting, sculpture, etc). On one corner - an empty parking lot, we had the chance to watch closely as Garibaldi showcased his great talent.

Who is Garibaldi? I have never heard of him but from I have eavesdropped and seen, he is a talented guy. He was doing an impromptu painting of a big and empty canvass/billboard. The finish product was pretty amazing.

Going back to the photo above, Mr Horsey is from the Sacramento Police Department. After I asked Mr. Policeman if I can take a photo of his horse, Mr. Horsey immediately worked infront of the camera. He obliged by giving me some amazing profile angles. He may be a horse, a police horse but he knows how to work it in front of the camera.

135/365 - Spitter Spatter

135/365 - Spitter Spatter

Our weather has gotten weird. From the 90s earlier this week, all of a sudden, here we are feeling cold and then it started raining. Yes, it's raining and in the 50s when it's supposed to be in the 80s or 90s. Right after I took this shot, it started hailing. Me, Madison along with hubby where like kids looking from our window how are backyard was slowly covered with white small particles. It was pretty amazing to see those hail falling from the sky.

Hopefully by tomorrow, I would be able to share some shots that I took during our practice photo shoot from two different meet-up groups. I'd totally love to hear what you'll think of them.

I love the horse picture! It definitely seemed to know to show itself from its better side, LOL:)
Our weekend weather looked very similar, without the colder temps though..
So cool that you have a senior shot lined up. Can't wait to see the outcome.
