Dual Post 179 and 180/365

Cheers to surpassing the first six-month of this project. It's been quite a ride for me and I bet for everyone who has partaken this project. I knew before joining this project that it will be a daunting task. It requires creativity, attention, and ingenuity. I could go on and on of what is necessary to achieve this task but reaching the sixth-period, I could at least give a pat on shoulders and to everyone for a job well-done!

I admit that there were days that the photos that I took were snapshots and second-rate kind of thing. But those kind of shots have taught me to improve and be better with the craft that I chose to pursue on the sidelines.

Within the last six months, I have learned so many things. My composition, post processing, lighting, how I handle my camera and even how I see things has totally improved. And onto the second half of this project, I am hoping to improve even further.

On the other side, here are my missing photos.

179/365 - Milo

179/365 - Milo

He is Milo. He is my neighbor's 5 month-old French bulldog. For this particular day, me and Madison were out and about in the open field infront of our house. I was trying hard to get photos of Madison via backlighting. I've had some "good" photos but they were not up to par of what and how I really wanted.

My neighbors, on the otherhand were out walking their dogs. Since I had my camera with me, I took the chance to photograph both dogs. But I only got Milo. But I am promising to take a photo of Nikko one of these days.

I just have to say this: Milo is cute, and so is Nikko!

180/365 - Chaos

180/365 - Chaotic

This is the scene right beside my laptop which is situated on one of the kitchen counters. Today, I really have nothing on my mind of what to shoot. I was very close to calling it a cheat day. But I thought, I just could not cheat because today is end of the first half of this project. It would have been better to do something grand but the creativity part of my brain is down.

Aside from the lack of creativity and lack of planning, my "I could have" and "I should have" lines came out. But then again, it was too late for me.

There was an opportunity for me today but I did not bother taking my camera. I had a mother-daughter bonding today after work while we gave hubby some ME and relax time with the house to himself. Me and Madison went to the mall and shop for some pair of shoes (and may I add, while at Nordstrom, this girl acted like she knew exactly what she is supposed to do and why she is there). Having a daughter, I foresee this kind of thing to happen more often when she's older. It was just too cute looking at her browsing from one shoe to the other and taking some of her favorites to the Sales Rep or sit on the floor and try them on. Those were the moments that I forgot to take a picture of. Right after shopping, we headed to BJ's Restaurant and fueled our tummy with some yummy goodness for dinner. It was such a great feeling to be just with my daughter. If you may ask, I have never really gone out with just me and Madison. It's been always the three of us who would go out - always!

Before I'll end this post, let me just congratulate everyone who is on board with this project for accomplishing half of it. I wish we would all be able to finish it up to the very end!!! Good job to everyone and good luck!
