198/365 - Baseball

198/365 - Baseball

The weather was gorgeous. Who would have thought that here in Sacramento, we had a temperature in the low 80s and with a breeze flowing. Really, that is my kind of summer. But what did we do? Except for the time when we went out to grab dinner, we pretty much stayed inside the house the whole day.

Well, the above post has no connection with the my post for today. I just wanted to point that one out and how happy I am with the weather. I'd rather have it than suffering under the scorching heat of the sun with temperatures in the triple digits.

Anyways, the shot above? While cleaning the floor, I saw this baseball (actually, it's a tension ball) under the dining table. Don't ask me how it reached there. There's only one suspect in the house. While pressing the ball against my palm, I thought that it would be a great subject for today's post.

I thought of ways to creatively make this ball interesting. Fortunately yet unfortunately, only one idea came up to my mind. I placed the ball on the dining table right underneath the lighting. I kind of visualize it as a a half moon. Only the the upper part will be lit and the rest will be dark. But since the table is quite shiny, I was hoping for a complete reflection of the ball. I've had a couple of attempts. Upon reviewing them on my LCD, I was amused with the result.
