195/365 - Moonlight Beaming Through the Window
I felt relax today for some reason. Well, all the photos that I took over the weekend is done. Finally!! I think this is a first for me. I finished a task within a week. Yay! It goes to show that I am back to my regular programming.
Anyways, these past few days, Northern California has been experiencing some AWESOME weather. Our temperature during this time of the year is normally in the high 90s or the 100s. But two or three days ago, we've been experiencing temperature in the 80s. Say what? Yes. And that is how I want my summer to be!
So today, the moon is high. I wanted to go outside and do another attempt of the moon shot but I don't feel like opening the door. So when hubby kindly asked me to close the bathroom window, I saw the moon from the window blinds. I thought it would be a dramatic subject for today. I then decided to take snaps. At first, it was hard to execute because I don't have any concrete plan of what to do. But since I really wanted it to be today's subject, I played around until I found the shot that I wanted.
The only issue with this shot is that window is too dirty. I haven't cleaned that side of the window in months. I think it's about time to pull out the power washer again.

Noreen, I have enjoyed looking at your past posts. I especially loved the shots on Dec 11 and 16 of last year. Awesome. I need to really push myself to be more adventuresome when taking photos as I tend to be too cautious and therefore go for a setting where I know it will work but it won't necessarily be great. Maybe you could give me an assignment that would force me to use manual settings. Your water droplets were interesting too. How do I set up for shots like that? You mentioned a link? Thanks!
It has an eery feel... i like it!
hahah..thanks Tara!!!
Leslie,
Thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to go back to my old posts and appreciate them. You have no idea how lovely it is to hear.
Anyways, as pushing through the limits, I usually join weekly challenges from different photography websites, I joined forums and discussions, I participated in flickr site and browse photos and take notes of the settings from the photos that interests me and attempted to mimic them.
I love your advice, Noreen!
Thanks Bek!!! I'll just add, when I say mimic to the shots of others, I do get the inspiration from them but not necessarily, copy their shots. My kind of mimic is using the same idea but different concepts or objects.
