Coming to Life Again (163, 164, 165, 166, 167, 168/365)

Please be warned: Below is a marathon of photos!

This week has been pretty crazy for me and time management was not as effective as I expected it to be. In my daytime job, I've had series of assignments that are important and needs to be done as soon as possible. On top of that, I participated in a promotional examination for my next classification level. That two alone has consumed all my energy during the day.

When I come home from work, it's all about hubby, Madison and maintaining the house, although hubby already took care of some. As soon as both my lovelies hit the sack, I try to work on my photos but I am not as inspired as I should have so instead of touching photos, I just let it sit on my camera until the numbers keep rising. And until today, I finally decided to sit and make sure I have to do something about it. Luckily for me, hubby gave me some ME time. Thus my ME time is about sorting, organizing and editing my photos. And I am still cool with that!

Oh, I really made sure that though I could not post the photos everyday, I at least take them on the day of. The two photos which were taken by my camera phone, the date says it's taken today, but really, they were taken on the respective days they represent.

So let's start!!!

163/365 - Friends
Below is Ella and Madison during their playdate last Sunday. It's one of the sweetest photos that I took of the both of them!

164/365 - Cramming
This is what I do best when I took an exam. That's how I have been even when I was still in school. Pictured below were my examination materials. I've had them for months and months and just decided to read and review about three days before the examination. The result? That I do not know!

165/365 - Moi
All smiles. This was in my cubicle after a long and stressful day. My examiantion was scheduled on this date. Unlike the other exams that I took, I did not feel comfortable of how I did. I've always had high expectations of myself. The stress was not helping so since I was already done, there's nothing I can do to turn back time and give more responses. Instead, I just smiled and learned a lesson.

166/365 - Serious Side of Madison
I was still busy at work. I could not think of anything to snap. I realized I haven't had any photos of Madison except for the Sunday's entry. I tried to snap at her so many times. I am a little disappointed with the result because I think my daughter has come to the age where she doesn't want to be bothered especially when a camera is involved. Is it because there's always a camera pointing at her direction almost everyday?

167/365 - Cherries
Every Thursday, a Farmer's Market is held along the streets from where I worked. And every Thursday, I always forget to take my camera with me to work. But I still tried and managed to take some snaps. I was channeling some Chase Jarvis moments - the best camera is what you have - sort of thing! Luckily, my iphone is somewhat dependable. I shot the photo below with my iphone, and ran an Instagram app by using tilt and shift and another editor. Not shabby for a photo taken by a camera phone.

168/365 - Buds
We just got back from in-laws and when I woke up from the drive, the setting sun was gorgeous. That's the view that I see from the front of the house. I took Madison in to the house and grabbed my camera. But for some reason, I was taking my time and by the time I got out, the sun was already behind the building. A little hopeless, I saw the buds from the bush and took the opportunity to snap at them. The most challenging part is getting the focus. The wind was not cooperating with me when I was doing the shot.

Now that I have done my assignment, I just hope I'd be back to my normal pace. One more thing is that I wish I'd be able to come by and visit everyone's blog - especially those who take the time to come by and visit me and leave me some thoughtful comments.

Thanks for bearing and hanging around with me.

Love the playdate photo! What a great, soft edit:)
I always find it difficult to photograph books, magazines, etc... without it looking messy. I like your black background.
You look very relaxed on your office shot:) I'm sure you are glad that your exam is over:)
I've been meaning to go to a farmers market, just to get some colorful pictures:) The editing works for the cherry picture:)

I tried to post a comment yesterday, but my network messed up on me mid-post. Anyway, let's see if I can get a comment posted today.

I really like these photos, Noreen! I agree with Bek, I have tried to photograph books, etc., but they don't come out looking very well. You did a great job! And I always love the pics of your little girl, she is so cute. It's also nice to see you on the other side of the camera for a change. We photographers don't always get on that side of the lens. Great job!
