Thank God it's Friday

This week? Uhm, pretty slow. And today is Friday and yet, the time is dragging so slow! There's one good thing that happened to me today though. And, that is, I was able to finish sorting out all the 300+ photos that were in my drive. They were the photos that I took when we had the chance to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium and when I went for a photowalk with somebody I knew from flickr. (I'll post the details in the coming days).

Because the cold season is here, I thought I would not be able to see flowers that we often see during the spring or summer. To my luck, hiding behind the bushes at my in-laws backyard, I saw this beautiful flower. And what a better way to celebrate what I saw? Of course, take pictures!

The flower held up in the sky!

Up in the sky, standing tall!

a touch of green, a hint of yellow, the glory of pink and a luscious blue??? I sure can't complain about that! It's color to perfection!

This one is for you!!! I just find it beautiful that it's color has changed a little bit when the beamin sun hits its petals.

A little play on the post processing side!

The last photo is totally different from the rest. As the caption says it, it's my play to see how I have improved on my post processing skills. The reason is, I have really very limited knowledge in post processing. I just basically want to experiment.

Thanks for the flower, Noreen! :) It's a perfect pink against a perfect blue! The 2nd and 4th shots are especially nice! Great PoV in the 2nd one!

@ Toni: you're welcome! I love to take pictures of flowers. I liked 2 and 4 as well. I also liked the 3rd one which is a crop from 2. Just a different perspective. :)
