Depth of Field

I've been out for two days. I've wanted to post something but my mind doesn't seem to work. I got the bad coughs and colds. It's wearing me out. And that is the reason. Today, I am trying to catch up!

The first time I remember coming across the term "depth of field" was when I first joined the assignment section for the Digital Photography Assignment. One definition of DoF is the range of distances over which a camera gives satisfactory definition, when its lens is in the best focus for a certain specific distance.

To revisit that day when I first understood what Depth of Field is all about, here's my new take. Below is my very clean work telephone. I am after of a shallow depth of field for this particular shot.
