Before Knowing Manual Focus

The shot below is what I consider the last batch of when I still did not know how to do Manual focus on my prime. I know, it's such a shame. The lens came with a manual to read when I first got it but I did not do so because I want to be a "know-it-all". And my prize? Be embarassed (of some sort).

During the last photowalk that I had with a friend, I keep on placing my finger infront of my camera so I can focus on it and get a good bokeh in the background. He was wondering what I was doing and I told him of the reason.

Yup, I got a good laugh when he showed to me how to do it. So now, I am assuring you that if the photos you'll see with some good backgrounds are from my manual operation. But for now, I'll save this photo as a keep sake when my ignorance was up in the level meter.

Before knowing how to use the Manual focus

The colors were from the Christmas lights in our Christmas Tree.

Thanks!!! It was really pretty embarassing for me but at least my friend was very nice about it. That's the reason why an operation/al manual exists. :)

That's the reason, technical writers like myself try to write the operational manual! :=p LOL.. just kidding! I don't read manuals myself, even though I know the pains of the authors of those pieces of literature.

Jokes apart - your bokeh is super! Love the rich colours! Reminds me of your Disney themed shots!
