Lately, this 365 photo challenge has hit me hard. The once fun learning experience has now become a task and is stressing me out. I used to enjoy taking photos - because I had a plan in mind of what I was supposed to photograph. These past few days and months, it has become more of a grab-the-camera-and-shoot-because-I-need-to-post-something. And most of the times, I don't like the result but I have to post it anyways because I have to. AS the days have progressed and I continued to do the same thing over and over again, I am losing the interest and motivation.
On another note, I am getting tired with the kind of shots that I have been doing - shallow depth of field, reflections, bokeh, etc. I wanted to do something more. So, I have something in mind. I'll try to ditch all these craziness in my head about this challenge. As my photographer friend Joe mentioned to me time and time again, the key is to have a PLAN. Grab the camera and establish a plan of what to photograph. From that alone, I am inspired.
Before moving on, here are the missing photos for the last three days:
213/365 -
I saw this window blind from our front bedroom. It was actually the colors from the shadows that captivates my eyes. The golden/orangy hue was from the setting sun. The blue? That I have no idea. When I realized that question, it was too late for me to investigate.
214/365 - Laundry Basket
Another thing inside the house. Another last minute shot. I know, I could have done something interesting to this laundry basket. This was a try out if the basket would showcase something that will make it interesting. I think it did. I'll definitely revisit this basket in my laundry room because I have already something in my mind for the next shot. I just hope I can pull it off (crossing my fingers).
115/365 - Linden
After a yummy dinner with family, me, hubby and Madison headed out for a walk and to enjoy the cool summer breeze. Of course, I took my camera with me with the hopes that I'll find something that'll catch my eye. I heard we're heading to Starbucks so I've thought of photographing people inside. But that did not happen. While walking into Linden Road, it was kind of dead. I rarely see it like that because it's always busy with cars and people walking or riding their bikes. I positioned myself to get a center view of the street. Upon clicking, to my dismay, cars started heading towards my way. My original plan failed but I was still glad of the result. The headlights of the cars added substance to the photo. The hue in the sky was beautiful as well. And can you see Target (I pronounced it as Tarjay)? Yes, I am a few blocks away from us and I can always hear my name being called.

Love the street shot.
LOVE the street shot and the laundry basket shot!
Love the blinds! Sometimes you just don't have any control about all elements. Like you said, the car adds substance.
The laundry basket is my fav!
Hang in there, Noreen! You encouraged me a few weeks ago when I wanted to give up, now I want to encourage you. Some days this does seem like work instead of fun. Then, I get back into it and I remember what I enjoyed about it. I love taking pictures. It's just sometimes, because we are supposed to take one every day, it does get to be a "chore." Still, we have the passion, and the desire to learn more, and a little bit of skill and knowledge--we can do this. We just have to get through the tough times by encouraging each other. Each of your pics has a certain element that I like. Keep it up, my friend!
