Memorial Galore

This post is a mere catching up of the time that I was totally slacking. Imagine that, out of the month of July, I have only posted 1 entry? How lame is that when I was actually planning to participate in 365 series or a 52 week series? I can't even maintain a very simple blog. Well, welcome to the world of procrastination.

Since (again for the nth time) I was able to participate a photowalk, I had the opportunity of snap a LOT of pictures. A lot is a literal translation because I have quite a couple of hundreds of pictures that I have taken. As I have mentioned in my earlier post, despite the fact that it's literally a LOT, I am happy and contented because I know that the pictures that I took have diversity. In my own interpretation, it simply means that I was able to capture different images but are relevant to each other. The series that I am going to show is an example.

So, if you haven't been to the State Capitol of the Golden State of California (with what's going on with the budget and all the economic crisis that this State is facing, I am even hesistant to call it a Golden State), well, here's a glimpse of its surrounding. This infrastructure does not only have beautiful interior, it also has a magnificent exterior. Lurking around the state capitol are different memorials for different groups of people who shared and sacrificed their lives for the good of others. These memorials maybe in a form of statue, simple wall of people's names who devoted their lives for others, a simple brick can be found all over the ground of the capitol.

Below are some of the memorials that I was able to find.
My guess for this memorial is for USS California.

The following pictures are for the Brave Firemen:

The photos below are from the memorial for the Vietnam War:
